CyberElevator Jailbreak

I0n1c is a very talented jailbreak jailbreaker from Germany, who also goes by the name of Stefan Esser. He hasn’t been on the jailbreak scene very much just recently but, in the past, was responsible for a couple of very good jailbreak utilities. Now it seems he has stepped back into the limelight with a video of an iPhone 5C jailbroken on iOS 7.1.1.

This is a video of the iPhone he produced photos for a few days ago but the video obviously shows much more information. He has called the jailbreak Cyberelevat0r. The video confirms that his iPhone is running on iOS 7.1.1 and that he managed to install Cydia, along with one or two jailbreak utilities as well. He also shows that the jailbreak is untethered by going through the reboot process. You can see the process in the video below:

Whether the jailbreak will work on any other device is something we don’t know at this stage although, if it works on the iPhone 5C there is no reason to believe it won’t work on other A7 devices. One thing that has been made clear is that the jailbreak will not be released to the public – at least not yet. What happens in the future is another matter, as we saw with iOS 6.1.3 last year.

Pod2g, Evad3rs team member has also said that he is looking at a jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and 7.1.1 and, if it could be created in a month or less, it could be released. However, if it is going to take longer then it would not be worth releasing, as iOS 8 is not far off.

That said, although iOS 8 is expected to release in September, the jailbreak may not be available until next year. Do you think i0n1c should release his jailbreak or are you happy to wait and see what Evad3rs come up with ?

  1. A iPhone.thats not jail broken is just like any other phone. Just ALOT more boring Jail breaking allows me to have my iPhone my way. I don’t have one single unpayed app on my phone. But sure looks sweet. And is WAY more user friendly then the way snAPPLE says it HAS to be.

I don’t care if the Samsung s5 is 5 or even 10 milaseconds slower then the 5s. I can’t blink that fast. But out of the crate. I can customize the samsung.

It’s ALWAYS hurry up and wait for anything when it comes to snAPPLE. Wait for JB. wait for apps. snAPPLE didn’t learn anything from there computer side. Small growth. Why. Can’t upgrade them. You get it snAPPLES way. Make an iPhone faster then light. Make it bend. Have it 10 dull colors Still going to be the same ugly GUI Unless it’s JAIL BROKEN. bring the JB on. snAPPLES to dull without it

    1. iPhone is a iconic phone and a must have by people who want to say I have a iPhone 5/S it’s a premium brand and status symbol that people want to have, all other smart phones will never have that. Yes jailbreaking iPhone does make it more interesting and personalised, Apple only give you what they want to give you lol and as a Samsung S5 and iPhone 5s owner I can tell you a phone is a phone no matter what it looks like. That’s why Samsung owners don’t bitch about there phones cos Samsung knows what the consumer wants. Yeah bring on the jailbreak 7.1.1 agreed.

      The judge

  2. Stop naming your titles 7.1.1 jailbreak and then saying there wont be a jailbreak, thats just frustrating…

    1. Then stop getting your hopes up then maybe it won’t be frustrating all the time seeing a title 7.1.1 jailbreak on top of that the title does not say ios 7.1.1 jailbreak realeased or is out.

  3. Jailbreak should be official and come with new iphone if apple wants to sell his phones like hot chocolate cake

  4. I guess we all learnt our lesson. With a 7.1.1 jailbreak i will not upgrade to ios8 until there is a JB available for that upgrade. In my oppinion…give us the JB sooner rather than later.

  5. Jailbreak has been removed and no longer works. This is not a insult and shouldn’t be taken seriously because Jailbreaking is illegal to the Apple EULA regarding jailbreak terms.
