When iOS 7.1 was released, it was to the news that Apple had finally patched Evasi0n 7, the untethered iOS 7 jailbreak. While a lot of people did upgrade to the new firmware, a good many stayed put on iOS 7+ so that they could continue with their jailbreak.

Although Evad3rs have said that they are not going to be working on a jailbreak utility for iOS 7.1, they are still keeping Evasi0n 7 updated. This week, a new update to the utility was released, in the form of version 1.0.8.
However, the release notes state that it is to support build number 11A466 which is a factory build, not one that can be downloaded. This build can be found on some iPhone 5S and 5C handsets and, until now, has been causing problems with the jailbreak.
One person exchanged his iPhone 5S because it suffered water damage and, when he tried to jailbreak it using Evasi0n 7, he kept getting messages saying that Evasi0n did not support the iOS version.

Some users did manage to get round the problem and successfully jailbroke their devices by using a hex-editing software. However, this latest Evasi0n update negates the need for that now.
If you do have an iPhone 5S or 5C that has a build number of 11A466 on it, you will need to use the latest version of Evasi0n 7 to jailbreak it. You can download Evasi0n 7 v1.0.8 by clicking on one of the links below .

With regards to iOS 7.1, there isn’t a jailbreak utility for it, at least not a public one, and there isn’t likely to be so, if you do not want to lose your jailbreak, do not upgrade. Also, steer clear of fake jailbreak sites. A number have appeared in the weeks since iOS 7.1 was released, each one claiming to have an untethered version of the jailbreak.
Nobody has this yet and, if it is released, it will be by one or more of the well-known developers and we will let you know about it.
